Children’s Ministry
Vision of Hope MCC is intentional about their commitment to children. We believe they are an important part of our community and we desire to provide a quality ministry so we might live out our core value which states “Train Up Your Children In The Way They Should Go And They Will Not Depart From It.??

Children are an important part of the life of Vision of Hope MCC. Our Sunday School Teachers share their gifts and help our children learn about faith. Teaching material is provided. Sunday School Helpers are important in helping create an atmosphere for learning. Our program offers many activities for children and we are always looking for people to have fun with our Children’s Activities.

Hospitality
We value fellowship at Vision of Hope and our times of hospitality are important to our community. Every Sunday following worship we gather in the lower social halt for some drinks and snacks. Some Sundays we actually share a full meal together, as we do on Easter and Thanksgiving. At other times we have potluck dinners. This time of sharing is a great opportunity to build and enrich relationships. In order to make hospitality happen, we have Hospitality Teams.

Special Events
We love to have fun together and we offer many opportunities to just get together and laugh. To encourage further fellowship, at various times during the year we hold Special Events, like summer parties at the pool, Revivals, and bowling.

Worship
In order that worship run smoothly we have designated individuals called Worship Coordinators. Their ministry is to prepare the Table for Communion, and to see that there are Communion servers and ushers.

Praise Team
“Praise" is an expression of faith, and a declaration of victory! It declares that we believe God is with us and in control of the outcome of all our circumstances (Romans 8:28). Praise is a sacrifice. It is something that we offer God sacrificially, not just because we feel like it, but because we believe Him and wish to please Him. “By Him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name?? (Hebrews 13:15). This verse speaks of the dream for our praise team. The team has adopted it as their “mission?? statement — the goal they strive for as they minister during worship.

The Praise Team’s purpose is to draw you the congregation into the throne room, the presence of God our Creator. Individuals on the Praise Team led the Praise Celebrations during worship and they are very excited to be able to share and lead you in worship. All who want to take this opportunity or anyone who feels led to become part of our team are invited to join. The Praise Team holds their rehearsal on Tuesdays from 8 to 9pm.

Liturgical Dance
And David danced before the Lord with all his might; and David was girded in a linen ephod. 2 Samuel 6:14. The liturgical dance team is open to anyone interested in praising the Lord through the form of dance. For some, this may seem new or different. But when you talk to the dancers, they can tell you how dancing before the Lord makes them feel. Our intention for the dance team is to incorporate them into praise and worship on a weekly basis. This will enhance the power of our praise and worship service.

Currently, the team is meeting on the third Sunday of each month, immediately following the service.

Worship Celebration
Various members and friends at VOH have inspirational musical and creative abilities. Sometimes on Sundays we add Special Music to our worship celebration. At least four times a year we hold All-Music Services. We also might include poetry, drama, testimonies or some other creative talent in worship.

A/V Sound Ministry
Audio Visuals and the Sound Board are vital to our praise and worship at VOH. The computer equipment runs our music and project lyrics and images up on the big screens. The sound board operates the microphones, from the pulpit to the choir mics, to the altar mic. You don’t need to have any previous skills at the computer or sound board. Many people have learned to operate the equipment and training is periodically offered.

Puppet Ministry
At VOH we have a special ministry of puppets. The puppets appear occasionally during Children’s Moments and at special worship services and events. There is a whole cast of characters who share their lives with us and teach us important life lessons with laughter and love. There is always room for another hand.

Drummers
VOH is blessed with an awesome team of drummers. Every Sunday and on special occasions the Drumming Team adds rhythm and vibrancy to our worship and praise. You don’t need to have your own drum and you don’t even need to have had any previous drumming experience. All you need to have is a willing spirit to pound out joy.
