Ministry: Introduction

At VOH we believe in the "priesthood of all believers," which presents the truth that all Christians are called to be "ministers" and empowered to use their God given gifts and talents in service for God's honor and glory.

The priesthood of all believers is a Christian doctrine founded on the First Epistle of Peter, 2. 9: "For you are a chosen people. You are a kingdom of priests, God's holy nation, God's very own possession. This is so you can show others the goodness of God, for God called you out of the darkness into God's wonderful light." We are called by God for a purpose. God is equally accessible to all of us and no one has been set above others in matters of faith and worship.
