Children's Ministry
The Children’s ministry at VOHMCC is open to children ages 2-11. We are intentional in reaching out to families and their children. We currently have a paid staff position and volunteer positions to minister to our youth and children. We believe that Children are the Church and not just the future of the church. We minister to children of gay, straight, transgender, bisexual, and questioning parents within our local community. Our goal is to encourage our children to participate in community and fellowship, developing lasting friendships in which they can share their struggles and joys.
As well, we encourage our children to grow and develop their relationship with Jesus Christ through Bible Study and group-building activities.
Our children’s ministry is a place for friendship building for those children in the community with a diverse family. We believe that love makes a family and we support diversity by sharing the love of God to everyone. We understand the need for a place to share safely and confidentially about your daily struggles and joys of being a child in the world today. We do not have limitations as to who belongs in our family of believers. All you have to be is looking for a place to meet new people and desire to share in your life journey. Building a faith-based family structure is our goal. Christ is central to this goal, building hope for future generations.
